London Beach clean

Beach cleaning, but you work in London…

It is part of our mission at Cantina del Sabor to keep our beaches clean, so we were determined to fit in a beach clean closer to our London office.

Search beach on google maps and it gives you the beautiful Bermondsey ‘beach’. So, we headed around the corner to Bermondsey ‘beach’, heavy emphasis on the quotation marks, not to be taken literally.

No palm trees or sand in sight but we got to work on gathering all the rubbish in the area.

What did we find? A lot.

• 40+ bottle caps
• 60+ cigarettes
• 70+ bits of glass
• Others: bits of foil, plastic (including balloons), string, rubber and SO much packaging.
• The not expected- tea bags, plugs, poker chips, money

What will we remember next time?

Tidal times… the beach had disappeared by 10am so we cleaned the path instead.
