Our First Festival Summer

Our First Festival Summer

Behind the festival tacos

We’ve been by the sea at Boardmasters, in windy Leeds and in the middle of a park for BBC Radio 2 in the park. Cantina Del Sabor tacos are here for all hungry festivalgoers.

Between the music, the queues and the happy taco faces we did learn a few things about life on the festival circuit for our first festival summer!

Location, location, location

Turns out, it’s not just about flavour, it’s about where you’re pitched. The right spot can make all the difference between a steady taco flow and tumbleweed. We’ll be scouting the best festival real estate next summer!

Always find the staff toilets

Festival toilets… we’ll just say it: they’re character-building. Having proper loos nearby for the team? A total game-changer.

The Great Leeds Blowaway

Yep. Leeds Fest gave us more than music. It gave us 50mph winds and one very broken stand. Our entire setup literally blew away. But here’s the thing: every food trader around us rallied to help rebuild. We might have lost a day of sales, but we gained a serious sense of festival family.

People love finding out we’re in stores too

So many people came up for tacos and left saying, “Wait, I can buy these at home?” — which made us realise how important it is to tell our story beyond the stand. Festivals are amazing for connecting with people in real life, especially when they find out they can relive the flavour at home.

Our taco team= absolute legends

From sunrise prep to midnight clean-up, our crew served up hundreds (and hundreds) of tacos a day. Keeping up that energy, heat, and smile? No easy feat. We couldn’t be prouder of the team that kept the fiesta going no matter what the weather threw at us

We know that when people try our tacos, they LOVE them so we want to get them in as many hands as possible.

So the big question is…
